The admissions process has been designed to ensure a good fit between Kawartha Classical Christian School and your family.

Families interested in KCCS are encouraged to first access information on our website, being sure to read our Mission and Vision Statements, our Statement of Faith, and our Core Family Values. We also ask that you read An Introduction to Classical Education: A Guide for Parents by Christopher A Perrin.

We’d love to meet with you (one or both parents) to discuss the education of your child(ren). A face-to-face meeting provides the opportunity for us to further share our vision for Kawartha Classical Christian School, and for you to meet with our principal, discuss our curriculum, and ask questions.

To apply, please submit the following:

  1. Completed KCCS Admissions Application.

  2. If applicable, copies of the student’s most recent report card and attendance record. If previously homeschooled, please provide a brief summary (up to one page) of the most recent academic year (classes taught, student’s achievements).

  3. A non-refundable application fee of $200.

Schedule a Family Interview.

Both parents (if applicable) and the prospective student(s) will meet with Principal Auger for an interview. During the interview, there will be time allocated for discussing the school’s Statement of Faith, Affirmation of Core Family Values, and the Christopher A. Perrin article listed above.

During the interview process, students may complete reading, writing, and mathematics placement tests to determine appropriate grade enrolment.

Notification in Writing.

Your family will be notified of KCCS’ decision in writing.

Families that have been accepted for enrolment will be required to provide a $500 non-refundable commitment fee (per family), to be deducted from annual tuition, within one week of their notification to secure a spot in their respective class(es).
